我果時都係, 減到臨尾個個幾兩個月完全stop working (thought i should) 點知就日日等等等囉... but i did go out and spent time with my friends tho, since i've gave birth i've only been out for not more than 3 times, less than 4 hours each, so do a lot for yourself or with your hubby b4 the bb ah!
Glad to see this topic ar...My typing Chinese is super slow, so please accept me to use poor English to introduce my baby girl!
I am half Thai half HK, and my husband is Japanese, so my daughter is 1/4 Thai; 1/4 Japanese and 1/2 Chinese (anyway, is a mix la !) However, her appearance is exactly the same as my husband, white skin with a pair of small eyes, which is the "standard" Japanese looks! (wanna show her pictures here but failed!:-|)
I met my hubby in HK and we married in HK too! I have C-session in HK this year, after baby born, I went to Shanghai with my baby girl as my husband is assigned to work there. Shanghai is not our home city, people here speak Mandarin and Shanghaiese. Can you imagine that, for my baby girl, it will be strange to her to listen many different types of language!!!
Now, I speak to her in three types of language always (i.e. Cantonese, English & Japanese), my hubby likes me to use English only to talk to her, and he just speaks to her in Japanese. However, sometimes, it is difficult to express some specific words in English nor Japanese...
Thanks for the message from mamakab! You are right, if every single pronounciation is clear and correct, I think that no matter which language we used, it should be fine to her!
Really looking forwards to seeing my daughter who is able to talk to me one day!
My boy Ethan he's 3yrs 6mth, he's 1/2 Aust & 1/2 Chines. we live in Tsing Yi. Since frist time I talk to him I just use cantones, and dady use eng. when he 2yrs old we got a halper she only speak mandarin. So now he can understand use with language to which one.
he will go to local kinder this Sep. because we could like him learn more Chinese.
My son (YS) is 2.5yrs "korean/HK mix" & we live in Korea.
sandydojo,
3 languages at the same time may cause a young baby confusion.
My case is ...I speak only Cantonese when YS was before 2. Daddy speaks only English. Also, we let him watch English programme...(No korean at all). After 2, I speak both English & Cantonese. Now YS can communicate with both English/Cantonese. Recently, I start to teach some Korean words & he wouldn't mix up 3 languages.
BTW, can u speak Thai also???
大食媽咪,
Where will you live in Korea??? Are you going to live with your hushand's family???
