My son loves cereal too. I gave plain congee in the beginning and my son didn't eat it either. He will eat a little if I make the congee a little thinner with milk. I mixed 1 oz of cheese & yogurt cereal (which I found very sweet) into the congee and he finished the whole bowl! I guess your daughter just needs some time to get used to congee. You can try my method or try giving her the congee later. People say sometimes it takes 10 try for a baby to accept new food.
