As u've said, could purchase ebooks on Amazon or if u have a copy of that ebook n in pdf (or any other) format, google "pdf (or xxx) to azw3" and then use online website to convert it's format, which is free. Download it 2 ur PC n then copy it 2 ur kindle via usb. If u don't have PC, could download 2 ur Google Drive and then send 2 ur Kindle.
Pretty simple.
There r also quite a lot free ebooks on the web. Simply google it.
