My son also says "wo wo" = dog, "meow" = cat. I think it's OK, as long as he knows what they are. When I show him picture card of dog, he will say "dog" instead of "wo wo". However, when we talk to him, we don't use wo wo, meow.

I read your diary about taking your daughter to park. When I want to leave, I will tell my son, "we have to go now, why don't you say goodbye to slide and swing." He will follow and go say goodbye. He says, "Goodbye slide, goodbye seesaw." Then, he will come to me and says, "I say goodbye to slide and seesaw."

I do the same in supermarket, department store, toy store. It always works. Hope it works for your girl.
