My husband, 19 months old baby son & I also planning to visit KK this month, this is my son's first trip. Any things have to pay attention with and any suggestions of which hotel we settled in is better for a baby? Afraid nothing for him to spend his time except swimming, swimming, swimming!!!!
I am going to KK end of July, packages from HK at that period very expensive. For 5 days 4 nights trip, nearly about 5 thousands. If go in tours, even more expensive. But someone taught me to get KK in the following way and I got it done about 11 thousands for 4 persons with 4 nights stayed at Sutera (Pacific)
But of course we have to spend more time on flights
HK to Singapore by SQ about 5,000 (return trip)
Singapore to Senai Int'l Airport Malaysia by taxi (JBH)
Senai to KK by AirAsia about 2,300 (budget airline) return trip
4 nights at Sutera (Pacific)-we choose it because we like aircon - about 2,800- booked through AirAsia
2 more nights in Singapore hotels -1,000
Total 11,000 for 7 days and 6 nights
I think it is very attractive, I save nearly 50%. Did anyone try this route before or any comment on this route ?
I won't consider Shangri-la Tanjung coz the rooms are old there (some of my friends stayed there & told me). I'll pick Mallegen Sutera again this year. BTW, answer your questions first:
1) both hotels are close to the airport (10-15mins)
2) both have private beach & nice swimming pools (in Sutera, you can enjoy both Pacific Wing & Mallegen Wing's facilities, however there is no resort feel in Pacific Wing (only for golfer)
3) I can only tell you about Mallegen: don't have too high expectation to the restaurants in the hotel, the buffert breafast is good. Can try seafood market. My son loves Mallegen very much.
I stayed in Mallegen last summer & going there again end of Jul. You shall find more info from another topic about Sabah.
