Rule of thrumb, the closer to CBD the more expensive are the properties, and East side of the city is generally better than the West. Oakley is okay, but not further down to Springvale. You may look at Glen Waverley or Mount Waverley too.As other said already, without local experience it is rather difficult to get your first job. It may take 6-12 months to find something, so please be well prepared financially and mentally. Also have you checked the procedures for getting registered with the relevant professional boards or governing bodies? Many people get into the trap that their occupation is in demand, yet they cannot get registered to practise in Australia.
