HinHinMa posted, I think on 8 Dec 03, a more updated list of documents required by the Indo Consulate than my list (I went through the process in early Oct 2003), and if you read through that Dec list, the air-ticket is no longer required. (I included this list in my word.doc file too, so you need to read through it carefully.)
But you MUST check for the MOST UPDATED list of required documents, because the Indo Consulate may change it from time to time.
Try to ask your DH to go to the Indo Consulate and copy the list which is posted outside the counter on G/F of Indo Consulate, just before you start your renewal process.
Yes, you need to arrange for DH to take lab test, then go to see doc to get doc's letter to certify that DH is "Fit for work" first. You need to present the doc's letter to Indo Consulate.
As HinHinMa said, no need to present air ticket to Indo Consulate now (since Dec 03).
If you are afraid that she might contract something in Indo / get pregnant, then yes, it is much safer for you to take her to do lab test again when she return to HK. But this is not a requirement by HK Imm Dept or Indo Consulate. Up to you to decide whether you want your DH to take lab test or not.
Another question, my maid arrived HK June 25, 2002, started to work with my family at July 1, 2002. What's the official end date of the contract? My maid said it should be June 24, 2004 (of course we won't paid June 25 - June 30 if contract ends at June 24).
Secondly, should the renewed contract starts at June 25, 2004, or July 1, 2004, or say July 22, 2004 (since he maid wants to have two extra weeks of leave)?
